The long distance is finally coming to an end! For logistical and financial reasons, Matt and Vivian will be having 3 "weddings": A lunch reception in Malaysia, a civil ceremony in Halifax, NS, and a family get-together in Napanee, ON, in the summer of 2020. If you have pre-existing notions of what weddings are supposed to be like, scratch that. The bride & groom prefer keeping things simple. This website will serve as a compilation of our journey, and we will link pictures and videos here for those who can't be in attendance.

We are throwing a little party at Matt's parent's backyard on Hay Bay in Greater Napanee. Details to follow.
12th October, 2019
This is where we made things official! Connie Miller is Matt's boss, a dear friend, and our Justice of the Peace. We had an intimate ceremony attended by close family members at Victoria Park in Halifax. After the ceremony, we walked over to Le Bistro by Liz for lunch.
14th September, 2019
This important Chinese tradition is where the bride and groom serves tea to family members. Matt got to address family members by their honorifics, in Mandarin and Teochew! In return, family give the newlyweds their blessings (and red packets).
Since we are travelling into Napanee for the wedding celebration, we have little luggage room for traditional wedding gifts.
We are also currently living in a ridiculously small apartment where space is limited.
We are pretty lucky to have everything we need, but if you’d like to get us a gift to celebrate, we have put together some alternative registry options HERE.
P.S. Vivian has been collecting Hoya plants for the past three years *wink wink nudge nudge* if you have cuttings to spare!
If you're coming from out of town like we are, the easiest way would be to fly into Ottawa or Toronto, and drive from there.
